US Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District response to Superstorm Sandy

Lieutenant Colonel John C. Becking

US Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District

Following Superstorm Sandy on 29 Oct, the US Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District engaged in a very diverse set of tasks to assist New Jersey and Delaware in restoring services for public works and engineering as part of the National Response Framework.  These tasks included emergency coastal repair, unwatering of critical facilities, provision of temporary housing, and supplying temporary power.  LTC Becking will present an overview of the broad range of these tasks and briefly describe the Philadelphia District's continued support to Superstorm Sandy recovery.
